Basketball Recap: St. John Bosco Victorious

St. John Bosco won the last time they faced Servite, and Brandon McCoy Jr did his part to make sure it happened again. The St. John Bosco Braves blew past the Servite Friars 76-50 on Wednesday thanks in part to McCoy Jr, who went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points in addition to six assists and four steals. That's the most assists he has posted since back in November of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Max Ellis, who posted 12 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for five straight games.

Servite lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryson Taiulu Allen, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points. Jake Schutt was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five assists and five boards.

St. John Bosco's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Servite, they dropped their record down to 12-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

St. John Bosco didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-57 victory against Mater Dei on the 1st. Servite has also already played their next game, a 75-34 win against Saddleback on the 30th.
