Suwannee has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Eastside Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Suwannee had to settle for a 55-53 loss against the Hornets.
Meanwhile, Eastside took their game at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 76-28 victory over the Warriors. Given Eastside's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Warriors are ranked 805th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eastside found their leader in underclassman Gage Webber, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Webber has scored all season. Lemarion Houston was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Suwannee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Eastside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16.
Suwannee might still be hurting after the 50-28 loss they got from the Rams when the teams last played back in November of 2020. Thankfully for Suwannee, Omar Brown (who scored 17 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
