The West Warwick Wizards's 18-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell to Moses Brown 55-49. West Warwick lost against Moses Brown in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-51 score last time.
Dylan Viveiros and Owen Stearns certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Viveiros dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Stearns scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Stearns' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Branch , who scored four points along with three steals.
West Warwick now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Moses Brown, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Warwick will finish 2023 at home by hosting Toll Gate at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Toll Gate is ranked 36th, while West Warwick is ranked 34th). Moses Brown will be home for the holidays to greet North Providence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Providence has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 251 points over their last four matchups.
