Donna dropped down to 8-9-1 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 8-0 to the Rivera Raiders. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Redskins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Rivera, they pushed their record up to 5-9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.

For Rivera's part, Donna's batters probably weren't too happy with Melanie Ramirez, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up seven walks). Ramirez has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kiley Trevino was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Vela, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Donna will challenge rival Pace at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rivera is set to face off against their familiar foe Porter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
