Given California's's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Laguna Hills is ranked 1068th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
California got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was DANE WALLACE out in front who scored 14 points. The matchup was WALLACE's fourth in a row with at least ten points. ARMAN MARTIN was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
California's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Laguna Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-14.
California will be playing in front of their home fans against College Park at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Laguna Hills will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Tesoro at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th.
