The Concord Christian Lions will head out on the road to face off against Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Concord Christian is ranked 189th, while Providence Academy is ranked 192nd).
Last Tuesday, Concord Christian suffered a rough 74-49 loss at the hands of King's Academy. Concord Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Providence Academy, as they earned their first road win of the season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Apostolic Christian 35-33.
Myla Johnson and Lily Johnson were among the main playmakers for Providence Academy as the former dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds and the latter scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Concord Christian now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Providence Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Concord Christian was dealt a bruising 69-34 loss at the hands of Providence Academy in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Concord Christian was down 42-21.
