They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bradenton Christian 80-77. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
KJ Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Linville, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Wiregrass Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. As for Bradenton Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
Wiregrass Ranch will head out on the road to square off against Berkeley Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bradenton Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against IMG Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th. One thing working in IMG Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matchups.
