A well-balanced attack led Cross County over Heartland in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cross County Cougars blew the Heartland Huskies out of the water with a 64-19 final score. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Cross County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adrienne Waller, who went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Waller has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ema Dickey, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Cross County was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Cross County's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Heartland, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Cross County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-38 win against Twin River on the 16th. Heartland has also already played their next contest, an 81-30 defeat against Superior on the 14th.
