Vardaman came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the West Union Eagles, falling 12-1. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Vardaman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Moore, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Moore also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Vardaman's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for West Union, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

While Vardaman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
