Softball Recap: American Canyon Has No Trouble Against Napa

American Canyon won the last time they faced Napa and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Grizzlies. Considering the Wolves have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

American Canyon let Deja Montgomery and Madison Del Castillo run wild. Montgomery went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Del Castillo went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Montgomery is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden De Los Santos, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

American Canyon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Napa only posted a batting average of .111.

American Canyon now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Napa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

American Canyon will venture away from home to face off against Petaluma at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Napa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vintage at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
