THESA will challenge the Dallas HSAA Angels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. THESA is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
THESA is returning to their home field after beating UME Preparatory Academy on theirs, despite the fact UME Preparatory Academy has dominated at home this season. THESA was the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over UME Preparatory Academy on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for THESA.
Ivy Martinez (2029) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). Martinez (2029) was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Ella Gray (2030) was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season. Raven Buresh (2030) was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Dallas HSAA didn't have quite enough to beat Dallas Christian on Monday and fell 4-3. The Angels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like THESA, Dallas HSAA also got a great game from a two-way player: Kayla Wicke. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Wicke was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Abby Glass made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
THESA's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Dallas HSAA, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. THESA hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Dallas HSAA struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 home runs.
