2A Conference 33 recap November 5, 2013
Nandua's Montrae Armstrong recorded the longest rushing play in 2A Conference 33 this season in his game against Northampton last week. Armstrong ran for 65 yards on the play and finished with 146 on the day as his team defeated the Yellowjackets.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Nandua beat Northampton 41-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for Chris Miles' team.
The Warriors' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyreim Blake threw for 42 and 1 touchdown and Armstrong had 27 yards receiving. On the ground Armstrong contributed 146 yards. Anthony Smith helped Nandua's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 15 yards.
Armstrong provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Nandua topped Joe Ortelli's team.
Blake put up the best numbers through the air as the Warriors beat the Yellowjackets.
Nandua's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Blake has thrown for 658 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while David Wright has 7 catches for 194 yards. Blake also leads the league in rushing with 549 yards.
