Baseball Recap: Heritage Falls to Marshall in First Game of Season

Heritage had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 8-4 to the Marshall Lions. The Hawks have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan White, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those three hits gave White a new career-high.

The win got Marshall back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Urbana at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marshall, they will welcome Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
