The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tornadoes as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Lily Thompsett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Thompsett was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those runs were her first of the season.
