The Riverside Prep Silver Knights lost against the Arrowhead Christian Eagles back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Riverside Prep took a serious blow against Arrowhead Christian, falling 50-18. Riverside Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Riverside Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Marrion Brown, who rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Raoul William churchill ii also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Connor Thuilliez had a dynamite game for Arrowhead Christian, rushing for 143 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, while also throwing for 167 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Caden Rossi was another key contributor, gaining 132 total yards and two touchdowns.
Riverside Prep's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Capistrano Valley Christian and 7-2 Boron (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.4% over those games). As for Arrowhead Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside Prep will take on Linfield Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Linfield Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Arrowhead Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Capistrano Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Capistrano Valley Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
