The Christian Heritage Sentinels entered their tilt with St. Mary with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Christian Heritage came out on top against St. Mary's by a score of 51-44 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Christian Heritage, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
St. Mary's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Darnell, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. John Brogan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists.
Christian Heritage pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage will face off against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Boniface Catholic Classical at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. St. Mary's is facing St. Boniface Catholic Classical at the right time seeing as St. Boniface Catholic Classical is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
