In what's become a running theme this season, the Astoria Fishermen gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Scappoose as Astoria made off with a 66-42 win. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Astoria had established a 22 point advantage.
Scappoose's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Butler, who scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Quinton Olson, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Astoria is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Scappoose, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Astoria didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-65 win vs. Tillamook on the 9th. Scappoose has also already played their next matchup, a 61-41 win against St. Helens on the 9th.
