BridgePrep Village Green has enjoyed a eight-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Westland Hialeah Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
BridgePrep Village Green posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Archimedean 89-40 at home.
Even though Westland Hialeah has not done well against Miami Springs recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Westland Hialeah blew past Miami Springs 64-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westland Hialeah.
BridgePrep Village Green pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.2 points per game. As for Westland Hialeah, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
BridgePrep Village Green might still be hurting after the 67-46 loss they got from Westland Hialeah when the teams last played back in November of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Westland Hialeah's Jahi Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Now that BridgePrep Village Green knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
