Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McGregor). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 90-34 victory over the Floodwood Polar Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Mercuries, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McGregor's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for Floodwood, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McGregor will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cook County at 6:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Floodwood will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against South Ridge at 5:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
