The Ridgedale Rockets had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Elgin 52-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ridgedale also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Elgin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samantha Girton, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and three steals. Jordan Wall was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Ridgedale is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Elgin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
Ridgedale will take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Baltimore is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Elgin, they will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
