Basketball Recap: Redlands East Valley Comes Up Short

Redlands East Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Diamond Bar on Monday. The Redlands East Valley Wildcats fell 75-63 to the Diamond Bar Brahmas. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Redlands East Valley still got an impressive performance from Demaj Moore, who went 11 for 20 on his way to 33 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Moore's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Amari Smith was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, Redlands East Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Redlands East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Diamond Bar, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Redlands East Valley will challenge Alta Loma at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Redlands East Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.5 points per game this season. As for Diamond Bar, they will square off against Glendora at 6:30 p.m. on January 7th. One thing working in Glendora's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 games.
