Baseball Recap: Buhler Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Buhler won the last time they faced Andale/Garden Plain and things went their way on Monday too. The Crusaders blew past the Indians 10-1. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Brayden Henry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Buhler got a massive performance out of Dylan Scripsick, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Scripsick a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cash Carson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Buhler pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Andale/Garden Plain, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Buhler beat the Indians by a score of 12-0 later that day.
