For the first time this season, Sports Leadership & Management will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Pahrump Valley Trojans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sports Leadership & Management will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Sports Leadership & Management's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Democracy Prep Agassi Campus with a sharp 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won six contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Mya Schweisthal was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs.
In other batting news, Naima Ralston was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Nicole Carrasco was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
Sports Leadership & Management hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Democracy Prep Agassi Campus struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Pahrump Valley is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Needles. Pahrump Valley took a 25-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Needles. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.
Pahrump Valley got a massive performance out of Sunday Colon, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-5. Those four runs gave Colon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Saldana, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5.
Sports Leadership & Management pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Pahrump Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sports Leadership & Management hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .536. However, it's not like Pahrump Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .397. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sports Leadership & Management came up short against Pahrump Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 8-3. Can Sports Leadership & Management avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
