Southern won the last time they faced Elkins and things went their way on Saturday too. The Southern Rams took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-25 win over the Elkins Tigers. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Southern's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joycelyn Ward, who posted 11 points along with six boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Ward a new career-high in assists (three). Emelee Parks was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Southern is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Elkins, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Coming up, Southern is taking a road trip to face off against Keyser at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keyser will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Southern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Elkins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenbrier East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
