Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Cashmere Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 42-35 to the Cougars on Saturday. Cashmere's defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Cashmere had strong showings from Rylan Hatmaker, who threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes, and Tyler Peterson, who gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Zavala, who gained 77 total yards and a touchdown.
Cashmere's loss dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Seton Catholic, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Cashmere does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seton Catholic is on the road again on Saturday and play against Royal at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. Royal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 353 points over their last seven contests.
