The Centennial Knights are on the road again on Friday and play against the Cartersville Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Centennial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Cartersville is ranked 27th).
While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Centennial was not quite Greater Atlanta Christian's equal in the second half on Friday. Centennial fell 17-7 to Greater Atlanta Christian. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, Centennial couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Cartersville put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Dalton as Cartersville made off with a 42-21 win. Considering Cartersville has won five games by more than 20 points this season, two weeks ago's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Khristian Lando, who rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Lando hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Turner Abernathy made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Cartersville, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0 record.
