After a string of six wins, the Southeast Alamance Stallions's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to Seaforth on the road by a decisive 44-29 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast Alamance has scored all season.
Natalie Lopez and Shaniya Paylor certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Lopez scored 11 points, while Paylor scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Clara LaChapelle was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds.
Seaforth's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabby White, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. White is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hannah Ajayi, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Southeast Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Seaforth, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Southeast Alamance will head out on the road to face off against North Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Moore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Southeast Alamance is ranked 77th). As for Seaforth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cummings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cummings comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
