Sadly, the Bloomington Purple Raiders are still looking for their first win of the season after 24 matchups. They had to suffer through a rough 68-31 loss at the hands of Lanphier. While losing is never fun, Bloomington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while Lanphier is ranked 170th).
Despite the defeat, Bloomington saw an underclassman step up: Carter Tindall scored 11 points along with three steals.
Bloomington's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Lanphier, they now have a winning record of 16-15.
Bloomington will face off against Rantoul at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lanphier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
