The Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They were dealt a 61-24 loss at the hands of Lamar. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Park Place Christian Academy in their matchups with Lamar: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Lamar to victory were Blake Hart and Aryah Grace. Hart scored 20 points along with five steals, while Grace dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grace has scored all season. Sarah Dudley Reed was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and five blocks.
Park Place Christian Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lamar, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Place Christian Academy will take on Wayne Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Wayne Academy is ranked 198th, while Park Place Christian Academy is ranked 208th). As for Lamar, they will be playing at home against Meridian HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
