A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. O'Connor is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Last Wednesday, O'Connor earned a 54-46 victory over Taft. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Raiders are ranked 726th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hagen Hurst continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6-for-7 on his way to 16 points along with three steals and three blocks. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Evan Herrera was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.
Clark typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Johnson proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 50-47. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.
O'Connor better keep an eye on Ahlias Isaac. He was instrumental in Johnson's win, going 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points. That's the most points Isaac has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Joshua, who earned nine points and five assists.
Johnson's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for O'Connor, their record is now 20-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: O'Connor has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Johnson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
O'Connor beat Johnson 48-41 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for O'Connor since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
