Randolph Campus has been on the road for two straight, but on Sunday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Far Rockaway Seahorses at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Far Rockaway took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Randolph Campus, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Randolph Campus didn't have too much trouble with Grand Street Campus on the road as they won 26-8.
Randolph Campus' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Haly, who threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Yomar Perez-Peralta, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Far Rockaway fell victim to South Shore's stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 26-0 walloping at the hands of the Vikings. While losing is never fun, Far Rockaway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 407th, while South Shore is ranked 162nd).
Randolph Campus now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Far Rockaway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Randolph Campus against Far Rockaway in their previous matchup back in September as the squad secured a 54-6 victory. Does Randolph Campus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Far Rockaway turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
