Bloomfield won the last time they faced Creighton, and Madyson Mlady did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bloomfield Bees put the hurt on the Creighton Bulldogs with a sharp 57-34 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Mlady, who dropped a double-double with 34 points and 12 rebounds. Her evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Makinna Lovell was another key player, putting up eight points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Bloomfield's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-8. As for Creighton, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Homer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Bloomfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Creighton, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Plainview at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
