The South Callaway Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fayette Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Callaway has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 344 points over their last five contests.
South Callaway pushed their score all the way to 55 last Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-55 to Montgomery County.
Fayette suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Centralia at home and fell 68-32. Fayette has struggled against Centralia recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Fayette saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Payton Oeth, who scored ten points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Charles Alexander was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
South Callaway's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Fayette, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for South Callaway against Fayette in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 76-44 victory. Does South Callaway have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fayette turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
