Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Granite Hills Eagles with a sharp 5-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 13 games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Granite Hills with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mishel Villanueva (3), Pedro Guzman, and Eric Puentes.

Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. Granite Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Central will take on Mission Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mission Bay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. Granite Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
