The Gering Bulldogs may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They might have tired legs after a game yesterday as they head on the road against the Wheatland Bulldogs today. Gering is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
Gering didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup with Sidney on Friday, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory.
Meanwhile, Wheatland didn't have too much trouble with Newcastle at home on Saturday as they won 54-40. The top scorer for Wheatland was senior Luke Anderson (18 points).
The wins brought Gering up to 9-11 and Wheatland to 13-2. Gering is 4-4 after wins this year, Wheatland 10-2.
