The Sumter Gamecocks put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Conway at home to the tune of 80-30. Sumter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Sumter found their leader in underclassman Araina Ross, who scored 28 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ross has scored all season. Kiara Croskey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Sumter's victory was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-0. As for Conway, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Sumter the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Socastee at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Socastee is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Conway, they will head out on the road to take on St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
