Basketball Recap: Pine Bush Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

On Saturday, the Pine Bush Bushmen had just enough and edged the Pearl River Pirates out 41-39. Given the Bushmen's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Pirates are ranked 186th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pine Bush's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Pearl River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Bush will face off against Monroe-Woodbury at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe-Woodbury will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Pine Bush surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pearl River, they will square off against Ramsey at 10:30 a.m. on February 15th.
