The UIC College Prep Firecats can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 27-17 victory over Muchin College Prep. The score was all tied up 13-13 at the break, but UIC College Prep was the (much) better team in the second half.
UIC College Prep can attribute much of their success to Chynna Rogers, who scored nine points.
UIC College Prep's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12. As for Muchin College Prep, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
UIC College Prep will take on North Lawndale at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Muchin College Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Morgan Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
