B District 3 (8 Man) recap Oct. 3, 2012
Rejoice Christian extended the longest winning streak in B District 3 (8 Man) this week by beating Agra, 50-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Woodland was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Cougars defeated Watts 48-12 earlier in the week.
South Coffeyville's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Wyatt Armstrong threw for 164 and one touchdown and Dillon Harrington had 87 yards receiving. On the ground Armstrong chipped in 115 yards. Zach Cantrell helped South Coffeyville's passing attack out by catching two balls for 49 yards.
South Coffeyville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Armstrong has thrown for 568 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Harrington has 10 catches for 268 yards. Armstrong also leads the league in rushing with 579 yards.
A big matchup in B District 3 (8 Man) this week will be when Oaks-Mission takes on Woodland. The Warriors are in fourth place, while Joe Sindelar's team is in third place.
Welch took down Riverfield Country Day 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tra Dodson threw for 67 yards and one touchdown and ran for 86 yards in the win.
