The Riverbend Bears will face off against the North Stafford Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Riverbend 3.3, North Stafford 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Riverbend proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Mountain View 2-1.

Chloe King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Riverbend saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Norah Clark, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, North Stafford got themselves on the board against Brooke Point on Wednesday, but Brooke Point never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Black Hawks.
Brooke Point's batters probably weren't too happy with Kaylie DeChicchis, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up three walks).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Lizardo, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Hailey Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
North Stafford now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Riverbend, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
North Stafford's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Riverbend hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for North Stafford, though, as they've only averaged .230. Will they be able to contain Riverbend's hitters?
Riverbend couldn't quite get it done against North Stafford when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Will the Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
