Colonia has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Roxbury Gaels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Colonia took their match at home with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over Rahway. With Colonia ahead 28-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
It was another big night for Jaeden Jones, who rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Jones hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games. Nygel Hill was in the mix as well, providing Colonia with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Roxbury put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let Livingston onto the board and left with a 41-0 win. Given Roxbury's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Livingston is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colonia now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Roxbury, their win was their ninth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
