Several Guardians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Gilbert, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Gilbert is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Vontay Robinson, who earned 11 points plus seven rebounds.
Marshall Christian Academy now has a losing record at 1-2.
Nacogdoches will welcome Elkhart at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Marshall Christian Academy, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m.
