After flying high against the Clinton Red Tornadoes back in December of 2023, the Blanchard Lions came back down to earth. Blanchard was outmatched by Bethany on the road and fell 74-28. Blanchard was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-16.
Zya Vann continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bethany, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The game was Vann's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keziah Lofton, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Blanchard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bethany, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blanchard will take on Chickasha at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chickasha is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Bethany, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuttle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
