The East Longmeadow Spartans managed to keep up with the Pittsfield Generals until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. East Longmeadow ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-30 walloping at the hands of the Generals. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Longmeadow in their matchups with the Generals: they've now lost six in a row.
Pittsfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charlotte Goodnow, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Goodnow is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Bre'Jai Ellerbee was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
East Longmeadow's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pittsfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
East Longmeadow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pittsfield will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
