Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Bremerton Knights, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by Lynden 41-7 on Friday. Bremerton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.
Bremerton's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.0 points per game. As for Lynden, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Bremerton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lynden will take on North Kitsap at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Kitsap is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
