The Orme Warriors lost against the Wickenburg Christian Academy Lion back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Orme was beaten by Wickenburg Christian Academy 48-6. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Orme has scored all season.
John Collins was Orme's leading scorer, having posted three points.
Orme bumped their record down to 3-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Orme on the road again on Tuesday and play against Verde Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Telesis Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Telesis Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Wickenburg Christian Academy is ranked 59th).
