The North Miami Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. The contest between North Miami and Lewis Cass wasn't particularly close, with North Miami falling 46-31. While losing is never fun, North Miami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Lewis Cass is ranked 77th).
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaiden Hanley, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Hanley is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Laney Musall was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
North Miami has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Lewis Cass, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Miami will take on Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday. As for Lewis Cass, they will head out on the road to take on Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Taylor has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.
