Bagdad waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the St. David Tigers 17-6. The Sultans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Bagdad let Rowdy Hooper and Aaron Landers run wild. Hooper went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Landers scored three runs while going 3-for-5. Hooper has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dj Gramanz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Bagdad always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. David only posted an OBP of .367.

Bagdad's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. David, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-5-1.

Coming up, Bagdad will head out on the road to take on Wickenburg at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. David, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-3 loss against Mogollon on the 28th.
