After a string of four wins, the Covenant Christian Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 49-27 defeat at the hands of Geneva. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Covenant Christian has scored all season.

Owens scored 12 points along with five rebounds, while Hahn scored four points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks. Owens scored a full 44.4% of Covenant Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Covenant Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Geneva racked up ten assists.
Maegan Riebel was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Geneva. The game was Riebel's 20th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Petty, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Grapevine Faith Christian at 11:00 a.m. on January 2nd.
