The Simi Valley Pioneers entered their tilt with the Royal Highlanders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Simi Valley walked away with a 58-51 win over Royal on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Simi Valley also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Ryder Mjoen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with two steals. Mjoen is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Rener, who scored 15 points.
Simi Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Royal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Oak Park the next time they take the court. Simi Valley will head out to face Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Royal will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
